OUR COVID-19 RESPONSE

In response to the 2020 global pandemic and health crisis, CACANA founded The East-Coast Community COVID-19 Task Force. This task force consists of nonprofits, communities residents, neighborhoods, and CACANA members that represent various cities, communities, and neighborhoods that have been deeply impacted.

ECC COVID-19 was founded in March 21, 2020 under leadership of both Michael Kelvin Bennett and Dr. Dothlyn M. Sterling to act as an community watchdog and outreach to help states along the Eastern region of the United States to hold accountability in municipal, state and federal government.

Our goal is to help people who are suffering in the pandemic crisis of the Coronavirus to receive fair medical care, testing and allocation of funding equally and equitably.

This includes minorities, homeless populations and other deeply affected communities who faces challenges due to economical, social and environmental changes.

The ECC COVID-19 have established and partnered with communities and other nonprofit organizations in the following states: New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Washington DC; Virginia, North and South Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Illinois.
